Session Abstract
Our ELLs need time to process and produce language orally. Research has proven that focusing on oracy - the spoken counterpart to literacy - results in ELLs with higher English competency levels in all domains. Using my methods and curriculum called CIRCLE-ELL, students gain academic English across all standards. The presenter was recognized for his work on CIRCLE-ELL with the 2014 Anne Dow Award for Excellence and Creativity.
