Session Description

SLU's Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) plan is intended to provide a comprehensive approach to integrating all of the University's programs, practices, policies and planning related to achieving the optimal recruitment, retention and graduation of our students. By utilizing a best practices approach along with supportive technologies, SLU strives to continually improve their processes to create a better learning experience for "all that they serve". The dramatic shifts in regional demographics and workforce employee demands have highlighted the need for colleges and universities to better utilize their SEM techniques with their continuing education programs.

Stated on the School of Professional Studies website: "SLU has a longstanding, nearly 200-year-old tradition of serving students of all ages. SLU enhanced its focus on adult students in 1963 when it launched on of the first schools in the country dedicated to adult learners. Since then, the School for Professional Studies has evolved into one of the most innovative, adult-focused programs in the country." By evaluating student services currently in place for this student group, we strive to ensure student support services are available to the non-traditional students at times convenient for them.
