Session Description

This roundtable session will discuss emerging challenges and share best practices for program fees and organizational support models. A facilitation team will draw upon experiences and research of competitor institutions to guide the conversation and summarize the participants' knowledge and creative solutions.

Brief Bio

Paula Shipper is a 25 + year higher education professional currently serving as the Associate Director of Academic Extension at the University of Oregon. Her passion is serving Adult Learners both online and at branch campuses and creating partnerships between institutions and industry. She most recently served at Upper Iowa University as the Vice-President of Academic Extension and before that at Park University as the Director of Distance Academic Services and Executive Director of Business Development. She served seven years as the Executive Director of the Global MBA On-Demand at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. She started the Dual Degree with Thunderbird and the Kelly School of Business at the University of Indiana. For 10 years she worked at the University if California, San Diego in numerous student affairs leadership positions.

Paula teaches online in the Graduate Programs of Fort Hays State University, Upper Iowa University, and Park University. She holds a BS and MA from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa and a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from the University of North Texas.

Brief Bio

Sonya Faust coordinates a variety of credit courses and programs offered on and off campus, as well as online, including the fully online Applied Information Management Master’s Degree Program. She holds a Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree from University of Oregon, both in French and Italian languages and literature.
