
Workshop - Highly interactive with a focus on activities that involve participants in constructive learning
This interactive workshop examines how the adult brain learns and offers suggestions for instructors in post-traditional programs to capitalize on this knowledge in order to maximize the effectiveness of their teaching. Participants will engage in interactive discussions and activities to discover best practices for brain-based teaching on campus and online.

Allison Friederichs serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of Denver’s college of professional and continuing studies, University College. Allison’s experience combines communication consulting, higher education assessment, curriculum development, and teaching. She is the recipient of an Outstanding Teaching award from the International Communication Association, and has earned University College's Master Teacher designation for continued professional development. She is a member of the Women’s Leadership Council of the University of Denver and serves her community by volunteering for the Denver Dumb Friends League as a copywriter and photographer.
