Breakout 5 - Concurrent
Session Type

Concurrent - Includes content presentation and Q & A with audience

Session Description

Many institutions have turned to analytics to investigate student persistence and completion factors. However, analytics without action fails to prompt change. This session provides an example of applying analytics to prompt positive change with the discussion of a program that used outcomes from a student persistence predictive model to design a communication strategy for nontraditional student success. The impact of the communication strategy on student persistence and discussion of additional implications for practice are addressed.
