Marrying Process & Progress: Getting the Job Done to Move the Internal Needle

Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM–12:30 PM CDT
Cortez CD
Workshop Description

Gaining significant positive momentum and engagement from a corporation to support public-facing statements in support of the LGBTQ community can be a challenge. Anything from tweets to signing onto Amicus Briefs or business coalitions. While these actions may be consistent with a company’s internal policies and principles, the concept of and business case for a company to address an external audience on social justice issues, and ones which are not related to the company’s primary business, are not at times evident. Working to accomplish these goals is an evolutionary process. LGBTQ ERG leaders from Johnson & Johnson, Dow Chemical, Chubb Insurance, and Prudential will discuss their successful journeys in this arena and provide insights and discussions focusing on how attendees may gain similar traction within their organizations.
