Including the “T” in your ERG and Workplace
Workshop Description
It’s often a challenge for the LGBT ERG to meet the needs of all their participants and it is often the transgender employee that is forgotten, hidden or ignored. After years of developing and creating a safe and inclusive workplace environment for employees focusing on sexual orientation and their allies it is time to embrace the gender identity and expression population. This workshop is designed to be a practical, interactive discussion on how to brand or re-brand your ERG to include, and listen to employees who are considering transitioning or those who have loved one’s that are and those employees that are transgender, their needs and difficulties. We will explore the obstacles and challenges both internally and externally that may be encountered in day to day activities, explain the education and terminology currently used and talk about policies and benefits available.
