Ssshhh, workplace equality activists are inspiring action and leading change
Workshop Description
Companies aren’t in the business of activism, but change takes many forms as we educate, align and influence changes to our workplaces that transcend our businesses. Our companies share their journeys, focusing on lessons learned from supporting the Obergefell amicus brief to taking public stances against discriminatory laws in Indiana and Arkansas. While we have been successful recently, there were prior opportunities that we weren’t able to get company support for. Through those letdowns, we learned valuable lessons that aided our recent successes. Join Bank of America, Cummins and Ernst & Young to learn how we rallied support within our organizations to take action in the communities in which we operate. Bring your questions, challenges and roadblocks for an exercise in breaking down barriers to help us all work together through the challenges of bringing these strategies to life for our organizations.
