Transitioning is a life changing and emotional experience especially within the workplace. Company Human Resource policies and procedures have come a long way in providing differing levels of guidance to transitioning and other company employees. Co-workers and others provide encouragement but it is the ally whom provides firm and unwavering backing to the transitioning employee.
Transition experiences range from excellent with minimal problems to challenging, unsupportive, and uncooperative. This panel discussion will focus on the personal experience of transitioned individuals and allies who provide that needed support within their organization as well as outside the work environment. It will also help to relate real experiences to related presentations from organizations such as PFLAG.
