2015 Out & Equal Workplace Summit

October 5–8, 2015

Dallas, TX

Building Community with Industry Partners

Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 3:30 PM–5:00 PM CDT
Coronado B (smaller room)
Workshop Description

Panelists from The Dow Chemical Company’s GLAD, GlaxoSmithKiline’s SPECTRUM, Johnson & Johnson’s Open & Out, Merck & Co.’s Rainbow Alliance and Pfizer’s OPEN (Out Pfizer Employee Network) Employee Resource Groups will discuss their co-efforts to establish an active LGBT-focused network of Pharma and Chemical Companies in the Delaware Valley. Industry partners tend to share similar business models, corporate cultures and workforces, thereby enabling each company within the network to effectively cross-leverage learning's and best practices. Collaborating with neighboring industry partners allows companies to align quickly and collectively advocate to advance local LGBT matters; help in aligning cross-ERG's to better support peers and build ally networks; and more effectively impact the local community.
