Workshop Description

Creating a thriving environment for LGBT employee requires a safe place where you can come to work and be fully authentic. All employees should be able to discuss their weekend and personal life without fear from the co-workers.This workshop will share how Kellogg, Dow and Whirlpool are creating a safe and inclusive environment by educating the non LGBT employee on how to become an Out Ally and ultimately into an Advocate Out Ally. We know how important it is to create a safe space for the LGBT employee but we will share why it is also important to create a safe space for potential allies to come out as well. Participants on the panel will share why HR inclusive policies and benefits are not enough.
