
The percentage of the U.S. population over 65 is expected to double by 2030. Today, 9 million LGBT people make up 3.5% of the U.S. population. Three million are over 55, and that number is expected to rise to six million by 2030. A focus on the LGBT individual as both mature worker and savvy consumer is an investment that is a win-win for business – increasing productivity and job satisfaction and harnessing a critical share of the consumer market.
