Workshop Description
This moderated panel of legal experts will explore emerging employee benefit issues in the current legal landscape of LGBT rights. We will discuss the impact of the U.S. Supreme Court decisions in the marriage equality and Affordable Care Act cases on employee benefits administered in the workplace, the interplay of domestic partnership or civil union status for couples who remain in such relationships either by choice or by necessity, the need for health care insurance coverage for transgender individuals as well as for reproductive health care, and more.
