Session Description

Excelsior College has been a pioneer in competency-based education (CBE) since its founding in 1971, with 17,000 current students enrolled in our form of competency-based degree programs. With multiple models of CBE available to institutions, we can offer you a perspective on Excelsior's particular model. We are also in the process of offering new CBE programs within our continuing education and degree programs that will use varying models/methodologies. These models use assessment and adaptive learning frameworks, different from our high-stakes testing model.
