S67 - How I Implemented a Data-driven Approach to Electronic Resource Management on a Shoestring Budget with Very Limited Staff

Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 3:30 PM–4:15 PM CDT
Room 104
Conference Track

1. Managing e-Resources & Licensing

Learning Objectives

Implement a cost-effective data-driven approach for eResource management with limited budget and staff, make data-driven collection management decisions to enhance an eResource collection, use data (not opinion) to justify eResource budget to upper administration, optimize workflow efficiency and procedures for highest productivity

Abstract

In spite of facing a limited budget and very small staff I implemented a data-driven model for electronic resource management.  By utilizing EBSCO’s Usage Loading Service and Usage Consolidation Tool I identified cheap, robust platforms to streamline workflow and maximize efficiency and productivity.
