lunes, el 4 de abril de 2016 a las 16:50–17:05 CDT
Room 301
Conference Track

1. Managing e-Resources & Licensing

Learning Objectives

understand the importance of using the market power we have in libraries to improve the accessibility of electronic resources by negotiating and educating vendors about particular accessibility improvements to make, hear about a three pronged approach taken by one academic library to re/negotiate stronger licenses

Abstract

Many licenses for electronic resources are silent on accessibility.  Many of those with clauses, are relatively weak, in that they may do nothing more allow for a VPAT on request. At Tufts University's Tisch Library,  we have a project to increase vendor understanding of accessibility at a more granular level.
