Following this session, participants will be aware of 3d scanning techniques and options for displaying digitized 3d objects online.

Abstract

An academic library took advantage of the availability of 3d scanning technology to pilot a project that would attempt to digitize 3-dimensional artwork and cultural artifacts, and exhibit them online. Learn about the issues involved.
