Following this session, participants will be able to make sound design choices which will remove excessive language on library websites, and utilize language which users will find meaningful.
Abstract
Writing on library web interfaces must be succinct and meaningful to users.
This session discusses best practices for writing on library websites to enhance user experience such as:
- Applying the principle of “less is more”
- Eliminating the need for wordy explanations through sound design choices
- Replacing jargon with useful terms
