Following this session, participants who need to establish a new collection quickly, face significant reductions in library resources or are migrating to a solely electronic collection will be able to apply tips and best practices from an experienced library director who has successfully accomplished these challenges.

Abstract

If you were given the opportunity to build a new library, how would you do it? Liz Lorbeer, the chief designer of a new digital library built from the ground up in under eight months, will share her experience on building a sustainable, fluid collection without an ILS.
