spot possible faults in other eBook studies and see the benefit for conducting a usage study when print and electronic titles are both made available to the patron.

Abstract

This study helps fill in the current picture of eBooks and pBooks in academic libraries by comparing the use of each on an unprecedented scale and by assessing the impact of the former on the latter using an innovative methodology that corrects for and controls problems facing previous studies.
