5. User Experience

1.The audience will be able to apply the teaching strategies and instructional techniques to their own Information Literacy Sessions and Research Advisory Services.

2.The audience will be able to use these strategies and techniques to support and encourage 21^st-century learners as they develop prolific information literacy skills necessary in contemporary society. (ACRL-Framework 3)

3.The audience will be able to direct 21^st-century learners through the overwhelming and complex maze of information on Google and in Library Integrated & Discovery Systems so that they contribute to the creation of new knowledge. (ACRL-Framework 1, 2, 4, 5, 6)

This presentation will demonstrate pedagogical techniques such as scaffolds to engage learners in critical thinking and research process in a collaborative learning environment.The presenters will discuss scenarios in which they prepare and coach 21^st-century learners to skillfully discern the targeted information using Google and Library Integrated & Discovery Services.
