After this session, participants should be able to:

Select potential areas within their own libraries where collaborating with or even sharing duties with public services can improve access to electronic resources for all patrons, especially distance education students.

Develop a plan for creating a small ERM using commonly available tools such as Microsoft Access.

Abstract

Stretched e-resource staffing is a reality for many libraries. Find out how four librarians turned limitations into opportunities for innovation.  For one,  being a single person department led to the development of a home-grown ERM.  For the others,  also distance education librarians, it led to new partnerships with public services.
