Learning Objectives

Following this session, participants will be able to: use a methodology and workflow to assess electronic book, journal and database collections in order to make informed decisions.

Following this session, participants will be able to: use alternative metrics to evaluate the impact of package purchasing.

Following this session, participants will be able to: assess journal packages to give good comparisons, against other journal packages and against individual titles.

Abstract

We understand the importance of continually evaluating electronic collections but how can this be done in a consistent way and with helpful outcomes? This presentation will cover how collections can be systematically assessed on both the macro and micro levels, particularly in the STEM fields.
