MATSOL 2016 Conference Online Program
Examining the Literature: the First Step in the Research Process
Abstract
Four TESL graduate students examine the social-emotional literature related to the well-being of ELLs: anxiety in the classroom, acquisition of non-standard dialect, discipline and suspension, and involvement in extracurricular activities. Presenters take corners of the room to share what they learned, and how they propose to examine their topic further.
