Making Thinking Visible through Academic Conversations: Creating routines with ELLs

Abstract

In this engaging presentation we will model thinking routines and explain adaptations, including academic conversations, for ELLs. Participants will explore lesson plans and slideshows that teach higher-order thinking skills through concept development. There will be opportunities to discuss how to introduce these routines with students at different proficiency levels.
