Abstract

Providing learners with ways to converse using mathematical academic language demands student-centered instruction and techniques that facilitate language production. A variety of activities challenge students to meaningful language use and stimulate their intellectual curiosity. The audience will participate in activities encouraging language use, critical thinking and student engagement.
