Math: The Universal Language... or is it?

Abstract

It has been long thought that math is a universal language. During this presentation, we will discuss the discrepancies between math in other countries, and the impact those differences have on teaching our ELL students mathematics.  Strategies for teaching math to ELL students will be explored during this time.
