Abstract
Retrieving information is easy, but how do you help entering college students understand the arguments, connections and deeper meanings in challenging texts? Drawing on think-aloud and collaborative approaches to teaching reading, this workshop will explore ways that teachers can facilitate a close reading by projecting the text on a screen.
