Abstract

"Traditional' high school readings are both motivators and models for language growth. Literature can, and should, be a model for entry into the 'new culture.' This session will model a teaching plan, will demonstrate how to use literary texts as models, and will invite teachers to form cyber teams.

Stuart Salomon has taught in the Peace Corps, in Iran, in Indonesia. He is interested in the dividing line between ELL and Bilingualism.
