Engaging Families of English Language Learners with Disabilities
Abstract
This session will describe best practices for engaging families of English language learners who have or may have disabilities, drawn both from a review of the literature and from case studies of six Massachusetts schools. The best practices address areas including communication and partnerships, cultural beliefs, staffing, resources, and leadership.
