Session Description

This session is a follow-up session for my previous presentation entitled “Migration to Alma: the Changing Role of the Systems Librarian” at ELUNA 2013 in Athens, Georgia. This session will utilize the migration and implementation of Alma/Primo at Central Washington University (CWU) Library as an example, which was a part of the Orbis Cascade Alliance Shared ILS, to summarize and analyze a systems manager’s roles in the migration to Alma/Primo. This session will briefly review a three-phase migration model and study the systems manager’s roles at the three phases. Some important roles such as project manager, team leader, liaison and coordinator, communication facilitator will be discussed. And experiences and lessons learned at CWU will be shared.
