Generation 1.5 Students on Campus: First Year in the Life
Abstract
Presentations will include curricular best practices to support Generation 1.5 students on a private, 4-year college campus,including transitional bridge program coursework, instructional strategies in an ELL program dominated by international students, and literacy challenges across academic disciplines. Presentations will recognize the alternate forms of cultural capital that these students possess.
