Session Abstract
We will present a discussion-based curriculum designed to teach academic language and content through personal, social and political dilemmas highlighting those that have greater relevance for second language learners, immigrant and refugee students. Word Generation has been shown to impact ELL vocabulary and writing outcomes, has been modified for grades 4-7.
