Session Description
Discovery isn’t just about your Summon or Primo instance and a link resolver. It’s a vast, interconnected network of platforms, vendors, publishers, authors, institutions, licenses, subscriptions, data and metadata, and library users with their expectations that the tools we put out for them will just work. The presenter realized that Discovery resembles natural ecosystems in its complexity and chaos. He’ll explain what he means by this and explain how it helps him help his library improve how it manages the discovery ecosystem. Specific examples will be drawn from legacy ProQuest management systems, but the principles pertain to all ExLibris Group products.
