Abstract
To achieve deeper comprehension, students must be offered opportunities for close reading, for critical thinking, for active engagement, and for building reading fluency. Participants will become familiar with instructional practices that address closer examination of texts through collaborative conversations with the purpose of uncovering deeper meaning.
