Abstract
This presentation will highlight principles for increasing ELs’ writing achievement through authentic experiences and texts. These principles have been implemented successfully in a summer program for elementary ELs. Results will be shared from this program followed by opportunities to look at student samples and apply these principles to classroom teaching.
