Dr. Sonia Nieto will speak about how ESL teachers model the kinds of qualities from which all teachers can learn: a stubborn belief in their students regardless of race, ethnicity, social class, or English language ability; high demands so that students can reach their highest potential; and a deep caring for the lives and futures of their students.
