F04: Discussing individual rights in the work environment

Friday, May 13, 2016 at 9:00 AM–10:15 AM PDT
Westminster 1
Session Description

Please note, there has been a change in speaker for this session. Mariette is stepping in to replace Marc Comeau who, due to a family emergency, cannot join us at this year’s conference.

With two major rulings in Canada in the last few years about working rights and Charter rights, we should ask ourselves “What are my Charter rights to express political beliefs or social concerns in the workplace, or to participate in outside organizations that promote these issues? What are the limits imposed by the duty of loyalty to the employer?”

Please join us to discuss these questions.
