F20: Swing your partner: fundraising and friend-raising through community engagement

Friday, May 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM–2:45 PM PDT
Westminster 1
Session Description

Fundraising as a square dance! In an era of frozen budgets and rising costs, fundraising is important, especially for smaller libraries. When your fundraising initiative also builds new partnerships and raises public awareness about your library, the return increases exponentially. Using examples of creative fundraising at the Nelson Public Library, this workshop asks you to think outside the box by identifying opportunities in your community and mining your imaginations.
