Implementing an ELL Shadowing Protocol: Providing Voice for All Students

Abstract
This presentation recounts a study conducted in an urban school, wherein student teachers engaged in the ELL Shadowing Protocol. The Protocol establishes a space of advocacy for the student and agency for the teacher to understand the ELL student perspective, among the cacophony of various voices that influence the classroom.
