Jedi Knights and Galaxy Explorers
Session Type
Thinking (Concurrent Session): 60-75 minutes
Session Description
Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away, continuing educators began defending the transformative force of lifelong learning and delivering programs to the far reaches of galaxies throughout the Universe. The dark side --- full of university politics, changing demographics, scarce resources, emerging shifts in technology, and economic pressures --- grows ever stronger. CE experts - Jedi Knights with masterful skills - are the defenders of extended learning and the champions of learners from all galactic species. To do so, they often trek into new territories and boldly go where not CE programs have gone before.
Relying on their totally cool lightsabers and Jedi Knight skills, CE professionals make a difference, they engage and enlighten, and they occasionally use a mind trick or two. Whether you are a Padawan learner moving through your career or a Jedi Master (and Yoda-like powers you have), come learn how you can tap into your inner Jedi Knight skills to speak truth to power, act with character and integrity, and demonstrate competency and creativity.
