Abstract

Educators know that connecting with students is essential to their overall success. Research and literature supports the importance of school connectedness. So, how do we make these connections with all students?

In this session, participants will learn about a staff connecting with  students through their “farm-themed journey” of apple orchards, carrot patches, and orange groves.  Learn ideas for a school wide initiative and simple strategies where caring adults connect and “tend” to their students.
