Abstract

The purpose of this program is to help minorities qualify for advanced placement programs in high school who are often underrepresented. Students and parents should become aware and informed about the advantages and opportunities that students can gain from advanced prep courses. The lack of having the essential college prerequisites can affect the student’s opportunity for college acceptance as well as put a cap on a minority student’s ability to compete with other well prepared students.
