Abstract

This session describes how Monroe County Schools made the 5th to 6th grade transition an effective process for students. A middle school counselor can gain first hand knowledge and resources on how to use core curriculum, lunch & learns and field trips to make their experience memorable for students and teachers. A resource guide will also be included to help any counselor build a remarkable transition component into their school counseling program.
