Session Abstract
Presenters will discuss the importance of identifying linguistic demands of content area texts as a key feature of enacting linguistically responsive teaching. This interactive workshop will engage participants in a linguistic analysis of an academic text with the goal of demonstrating pedagogy that incorporates academic language teaching into secondary classrooms.
