Session Abstract

Based on the presenters' experience teaching academic speaking/listening for international university students, this workshop will explore ways to develop structured group discussions and assess individual student participation. After identifying discussion skills and rubric categories, participants will apply these tools in evaluating a 5 minute video-taped discussion from the presenters' class.
