Session Abstract
This project presents UmieAktif, a non-formal education program for urban poor women in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Through qualitative interviews with the program’s founders, this project examines the importance of establishing trust, rapport, and community engagement while working with disenfranchised populations in non-formal educational initiatives.
