Session Abstract
Reflections on a series of focus groups conducted within the Department of Defense examining barriers to learning and effectiveness of training within the organization. Findings from the research identified training was effective when delivered. However, the real barriers of concern to management was not training, but culture, administration, and lack of clear definition for what training was necessary for a highly complex skill set in a high tempo environment.
