Session Abstract
Educational attainment is used as a proxy for literacy. Adult reading students have different educational attainment levels. We compared two groups who read at the same levels. Group 1 dropped out before high school. Group 2 graduated from high school. Educational attainment did not
differentiate these adults on most measures.
