Program Summary

This presentation focuses on instructional coaching and transformations in teacher professional identities relating to sociocultural learning principles and emergent bilingual students. Drawing on Norton’s articulations of investment and sociocultural identity, we examine critical moments in the evolution of the professional identities of 13 general education teachers participating in instructional coaching.
